Immigration: Legal and Ilegal
The controversies over both legal and illegal immigration over the last 10 years make it a ripe topic for discussion. In this talk, Dr. David Henderson will explore the various arguments for and against both kinds of immigration and will evaluate the effects of past immigration. He will also evaluate the main arguments against it and will consider “keyhole” solutions that address the potential problems while providing gains to both Americans and immigrants.
David R. Henderson, Ph.D., is Professor of Economics Emeritus at the Naval Postgraduate School and a research fellow with the Hoover Institution at Stanford University. He was previously a senior economist with President Reagan’s Council of Economic Advisers. Dr. Henderson has written articles for the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Fortune, and Los Angeles Times, among others, and has appeared on CNN, PBS, Stossel, The O’Reilly Factor, MSNBC, RT, NPR, and the BBC.
