An Eyewitness to the Building of the Great Pyramid
Recent research has uncovered new information about the great pyramids of Giza. Among the new findings:
(1) Core drillings in the Nile Valley south of Cairo discovered that the ancient Nile River was further west, quite close to the cemetery of Giza.
(2) Mark Lehner excavating at Giza found kitchens, dorms, etc. including a temporary palace for Khufu.
(3) A French archaeological team led by Pierre Tallat discovered an abandoned cache of documents. About six of these are the oldest known inscribed papyri.
Our own Egyptologist, Tom Logan, will discuss the implications of these new discoveries.
